A comment from a New Balance executive RED Trump’s stance on trade has set off a truly bizarre reaction.
As a sign of how stupid the world is becoming, people are now associating New Balance with “White” supremacy.
When Trump won the vote last week New Balance said it looked forward to Trump’s action on trade. This was a simple enough statement, but sneakerheads began burning shoes in protest. Now this… Neo Nazis have claimed the brand as the brand for White People.
It’s not enough that New Balance was once assigned as the official uniform for all things Apple and geeks, now it’s the official shoe of Clayton Bigsby and David Duke.
New Balance simply wanted to express their frustration with the TPP and how most of America’s shoes are imported while they have taken on the task of keeping part of their manufacturing in the country. The problem with this is that every brand is now building manufacturing here in the US and New Balance made a very poor decision in voicing any opinion on the incoming presidency. This new problem for NB has got to be a very frustrating issue. It is an unneeded distraction at a critical time of year.
