Vince Score – The Vince score consists of scoring based on the topics below.
Total points attainable: (100 pts)

  • What’s the genre – Hip Hop
  • Are the arrangements interesting? –  The arrangements are pretty good, while the first half isn’t incredibly strong, the second half past “Lay It Down” is incredible.(17/20)
  • Is the lyrical content compelling? – Whats the genre My Women’s World Wednesday, Sa Roc is an incredible lyricist and you really have to listen multiple times to truly understand what she’s saying.  (20/20)
  • Vocal performance? – Sa Roc’s tone is unmistakable. While some beats somewhat overpower and distract from her rapping, her vocal performance is still is captivating and heartfelt. (19/20)
  • Musicality? – It’s always hard to judge musicality on Rap albums as they generally use electronic beats and samples, however musicality is strong on several songs, while some feel a little flat at times most of the songs are pretty solid. (16/20)
  • Standout tracks?r(E)volution, Goddess Gang and Dark Horse Leave a Reply
  • Album low points? – It’s pretty hard to pick out a low point for the album as it’s all really good. I suppose if I had to choose a low point it would be the fifth and sixth song, Instant Vintage or Ludicrous as Whitehaven and Cordova Step Into the Arena Deliverance. I only choose those because I created this standard and I had to choose something, lol.  (19/20)
  • Bonus – Would I add it to my playlist? Yes, especially the standout songs and several others.

Additional notesLay it Down Whats the genre Apocalypse by Wyclef. The sample is from Danille Licari’s Concerto Pour Un Voix. r(e)volution‘s opening reminds me of 90s rock. Goddess Gang was featured on the Need For Speed Heat soundtrack.

Vince Score: 91
