It’s been a minute since I did a Sneakerhead to Boss interview. I’m glad I was able to get a few minutes of designer David Filar’s time. His day job is Design and Development Manager at Vibram USA. He is a designer by trade with a Bachelors in Industrial Design. He recently began maximizing his creativity during the quarantine. Vibram is a company the fosters the creativity of their team members, which is rare in today’s business world. This has allowed David to launch different passion projects. He paints and sells art, hosts a podcast called “An Untold Narrative”, volunteers for the city of Worcester on the Worcester Arts Council, and what I decided to talk with him about is the first design effort named The Devonshire Collection by David Filar.
Throughout this video are points for you to take note of that detail how David decided to begin his journey towards creating his first collection. One of the most important points is that you should try a number of things to find what it is you are truly passionate about. By taking on a variety of projects, you can discern what will be the thing that keeps you most engaged.
