I picked up a pair of Beckett Simonon sneakers a week ago. The sneakers are handmade in South America, and feature water repellent suede upper and gum outsoles. They are leather lined and have waxed laces. The style is right up my alley. I wore the shoes for a couple of days but found that the lack of a lace slot on the tongue allowed the tongue to lean as I walked throughout the day. I don’t have a wide foot, so I had to adjust the tongue. The shoes also felt snug because of the lining of the shoe. The pair is a size 13, but someone with a wide sz 12 could make these work or a 12.5 could make them work.
Instead of putting them in the closet or returning the shoes, I’m doing a giveaway of this size 13. To make things interesting, I’m not putting my e-mail here. The first person to write me with their name and address, gets this pair of The Geller.
