About Veja
The Veja brand was founded in Paris in 2005 by two friends, Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion. The two were inspired by the idea of changing people's consumer behavior in the long term and thus making the world a little bit better. The word "Veja" comes from Portuguese and translates as "look" or "look" - and that's exactly what the makers of Veja Owens are all about. The label from France specializes in the production and distribution of sustainable fair trade Owens. Veja Owens are made in Brazil in the Porto Alegre region under fair conditions from organic cotton, naturally tanned leather and natural rubber. All materials come from sustainable production. In addition to the use of ecologically compatible materials, the two creators of the brand also pay particular attention to fair pay for all employees. And that throughout the entire production chain: from the cotton farmers in the fields, to the suppliers, to the production workers. Recycled plastic bottles from Brazilian cities are also used in the production of Veja Owens, thus actively protecting the environment. B-Mesh is the name of the upper material into which the PET bottles are processed. In addition to the use of ecologically compatible materials, the two creators of the brand also pay particular attention to fair pay for all employees. And that throughout the entire production chain: from the cotton farmers in the fields, to the suppliers, to the production workers. In addition to Owens made of high-quality organic materials, Veja also has its own Vegan line. No animal materials are used in the production of these Owens. Instead of leather, for example, waxed cotton in leather look is used or a material that consists of 50% corn waste from the food industry and goes by the name "C.W.L.". The first completely vegan sneaker from Veja was the "Branco". In the meantime, however, they have expanded the vegan range with a few more silhouettes. The V-10, Veja's most popular model, is also available in the C.W.L. variant.
