Down jackets

A practical and eye-catching down jacket is a staple of winter attire, in particular for après ski looks. Which designs to choose this season to make sure you get a model that is both weatherproof and trend-proof? See the designs that stole our hearts.

First up, something from brands deemed pioneers of winter technology, namely Moncler Grenoble and Woolrich. If we had to pick our favourites, it would be the 'Laplance' in timeless brown or the cream 'Alsea'. Low Key Bags For Spring 2024 Perfect Moment, Khrisjoy or Adidas in collaboration with Stella McCartney covered designs with asymmetrical patterns, colourful graffiti-inspired motifs and even... sequins and crystals. Is there a better way to stand out on the slopes?

Ski suits and trousers

Although ski suits and ski jackets in matching colours are most likely to be seen on the slopes, this is not a rule you have to follow. Since the only rule in fashion is that there are no rules, you can, for example, opt for the universal black, a monochrome look or combine contrasting designs.

Black was used by many brands, but we particularly liked the Perfect Moment model made from fabric reminiscent of the season's favourite – leather. For the Grenoble line, Moncler chose a luscious shade of yellow, a combination of timeless cream with navy blue and hints of red, as well as the much-loved purple. Dolce & Gabbana Kids, Fendi covered the designs with a subtle white monogram.

Warm sweaters

No matter how you intend to spend your free time this winter, a warm sweater is a must-have in your wardrobe. We’ve put together a perfect selection that will be perfect on the slopes, on the walks, during challenging mountain hikes and… days spent in your favourite restaurant with a glass of Aperol in hand.

Firstly - patterns. A perfect après ski sweater stands out with a unique print. Take a closer look at the designs from Perfect Moment, Moncler and Alanui. You can choose from distinctive ski prints and the equally iconic motif of stars, world-famous logo and embroidery patterns inspired by landscapes. On the other hand, if it is a jacket or a jumpsuit that plays the first fiddle and features unconventional elements, you can simply opt for a minimalist sweater in a muted hue. You can find these at Lisa Yang and Jil Sander.

Functional accessories

Warm clothing is one thing, but practical accessories are another. They are not only the perfect complement to your outfit but, above all, a factor that adds comfort, functionality and insulation. We already have items in our wardrobes that are sure to last the whole season, do you?

If you haven’t already chosen models made of the highest quality materials, we got you covered... Look for wool beanies and scarves in the collections of Perfect Moment, Yves Salomon and Ferragamo, while all-weather gloves remain in the Moncler Grenoble portfolio. Ski goggles, the ones from Chloé for instance, are great for skiing, but once you get off the slopes, it's worth having a pair of the equally trendy sunglasses. As far as the design is concerned, we were most impressed by models from Tom Ford and Gucci.

Boots for special tasks

A winter look will not be complete without comfortable and waterproof boots. Snow boots are obviously the best choice because they not only protect from heavy snow but also spice up the most conservative styles. See for yourselves.

When it comes to particular models, Moon Boot is a safe choice. This season, the popular brand went all the way and, in addition to its already well-known colourful patterns with a rainbow, stars and tie-dye motifs, it launched models spruced up with glitter and tactile faux fur. Moncler developed the new 'Gaia' quilted snow boots that are available for both minimalists and fans of extravagance, while UGG reinterpreted the designs with a finish that improves waterproof properties and protection from the elements.
