    About

The year was 1966, when the two brothers Paul and Jim Van Doren opened the first Vans Wei in Anaheim, California. What started as a small skate shop is now probably the most famous skate brand in the world and the Vans Old Skool is one of its most famous models. The sidestripe, at that time still called "jazz stripe", is today one of the most important recognition features of the Vans Old Skool. Shortly after the first release, the Old Skool enjoyed great popularity among the Californian skate community. The reason for this was the Schooler leather toebox, which made the shoe more stable and durable than its predecessors. In the following years, the iconic skate shoe also enjoyed great popularity in the punk, metal and hip-hop scene. Later collaborations with various brands, artists and musicians followed, including Supreme, Kaws or A Tribe Called Quest. The Vans Old Skool still appears today with its signature sidestripe, iconic waffle sole and Schooler leather toebox. Thanks to its numerous color combinations and the clean look, the Old Skool can be combined very well with almost any outfit and can be called an all-time classic with a clear conscience.
