Carhartt WIP first found its place in Europe as a passion project of one Swiss gentleman, Edwin Faeh, who began importing, customizing, and selling Carhartt's workwear clothing during the mid 1990s. Carhartt's original pieces were typically worn by individuals working in heavy duty industries such as construction, farming, ranching, even railroad work sites during the early 1900s. Faeh's customized approach to the brand grew into a widespread demand for genuine workwear clothes with functionality and a tailored fit all across Europe. Years later, Carhartt WIP has furthered its parent company's success by establishing hundreds of accounts all over the globe and collaborating with renowned streetwear brands, artists, professional skateboarders, and musicians. Overall, Carhartt WIP has successfully maintained Carhartt's original American workwear aesthetics, catered to the demand of stylish technical clothing, and continued to release a full line of garments year round.
