Jobs of Interest Now available (JOIN) is a joint program to educate sneaker culture, students and employees in the marketplace, of the vast opportunities with footwear and apparel brands beyond design. Those who love kicks see very limited opportunities in the industry. They think there are only resale hustles of flipping kicks and design of sneakers as jobs. A look at the educational opportunities and it makes sense. What is often presented are programs at various institutions which allow you to learn the process of sneaker creation, but not everyone is a creative.

No other company can claim ownership of being the brand that birth Nike, but ASICS is at the very core of Nike’s development. While this isn’t a history lesson, Dee and Sean at SOLEcial Studies are always ready to deliver the history of sneakers and the story of Blue Ribbon Sports and Onitsuka Tiger is an excellent gateway to learning about how a Japanese brand created the sneaker industry as it operates today. What I like about ASICS are the programs for employees to navigate their career path. The brand offers support for those looking to climb the ladder via Training Core. The TC offers Career Development Support and Newly Promoted Training. Between investments in startups and job opportunities, ASICS is a brand any person interesting in the sneaker industry should browse.
