I’ve been writing about the relationship between Pensole and FootLocker since I learned that they placed seed money into the Instructional Design Academy. I’ve long discussed that retail will have to become like the brands to survive the push towards DTC. When Pensole and FootLocker decided to work on projects I thought for certain there would be a rollout of private label. Instead nothing has happened and the collaborations like this New Balance x Pensole is given some of the worst customer experience and marketing from FootLocker I’ve seen.
