I’m starting this series to discover and highlight new footwear brands. I’m having a difficult time with pricing and convincing myself that a new footwear brand is needed. Most of the time I think, “Nike and Adidas are kicking everyone’s asses, so what’s the point?”  I also think, “People are not like we were back in the day. We would rock Diadora, LeCoqSportif, Ellesse, Brooks, Etonic or whatever we thought was dope or whatever kind of fit our mood.”

I realized today that this was not the right way to approach being in footwear. I’m starting this Get To Know New Styles, to show that there are other companies out there brave enough to create and say, “Hey we love footwear and style and we deserve your attention.”

If we all thought that there didn’t need to be other brands out there we would only generic bread and drive Ford Model T cars. That would be a boring ass world.

So today I’m introducing you to Coloquy. Take a second to visit the site. Why? Because knowledge about style is the shit.
